Final Editing Push!

Today we patched up the places we needed to, and also changed the font for our titles. We've made the font so it looks like someone has carved it into the background, this should give the impression that the kidnapper is mentally unstable. For the film's title, 'Missed Calls', we also decided to show an image behind the text. This is an image of me looking up, but in a negative effect, which accentuates the fear in the character's eyes. Our film is now ready to be exported.

Yesterday, we got our footage closer to the 2 minute mark, which we were pleased about. Also, our titles have been placed in order of where we want them to appear, so the group finally has an idea of how 'Missed Calls' will look once finished. It's really great to see that after some final tweaks we will be finished, and ready to export 'Missed Calls'.

Today, the four of us have done much more editing to 'Missed Calls'. All the clips are in the right place, we've added our fades, dissolves, and other effects. The sound is also complete, and we are now looking at adding the finishing touches! It's really exctiing watching the opening sequence now it's got the sound and effects, the whole thing just seems more 'realistic'. On friday we plan to add a couple more clips, as the film is short at the moment, but apart from that, we couldn't be happeir!

Editing

Today we began editing our film, Missed Calls. We got all our footage from the tape, and T.V. studio and put it on our editing software. After about an hour of sorting through footage, we decided on which clips would be put into our film, and a rough order in which we will put them in tomorrow. The film is really coming on, and it's great to see our plans beginning to come together!

Filming Progress - T.V. Studio

Today we filmed the scene where 'Sarah' has been kidnapped and is being held in a room. It went very well, and we got much more done than what was expected. We tried many different camera angles, and kept the cameras rolling while we were changing positions to see if we could gain useful footage from that - a vital lesson we learnt in our prelim task!

After checking over our already filmed footage, we've decided that it may be best if we re-film our alley way scene in the T.V. studio. This would be a good idea because the sequence is lacking quality due to our loss of light while filming. Other than this error, we are happy and on track with our filming schedule!
